Most families don't realise their child is entitled to funded support. We'll help you navigate the system.
Contact your local council. As a carer, you have a legal right to a free assessment — regardless of income.
Most councils offer Short Breaks (respite) funding for children with SEND. This can pay for sessions with us directly.
An Education, Health and Care Plan legally entitles your child to specialist support — including community-based care like ours.
Once assessed, many families receive a Direct Payment — money paid directly to you to arrange care with providers like Diallo Healthcare.
💡 Hampshire & Dorset families: The Short Breaks Services Statement for your area outlines the specific funding available. Ask us — we'll help you apply.
My son has autism and had real trouble engaging with anyone new. From the very first session, Saliou was patient, consistent and genuinely understood him. The swimming sessions have been transformative.
We'd been struggling to find anyone who truly understood SEND. Diallo Healthcare didn't just provide care — they helped us navigate the EHCP process and get the funding our daughter was entitled to.
The respite care gave us our first proper break in three years. Knowing our son was safe, happy and engaged meant we could actually rest. Truly exceptional, compassionate service.
Founder & Lead Support Worker — Diallo Healthcare
Saliou Diallo is the founder of Diallo Healthcare and has worked for over a decade in mental health and learning disability support across community settings in Southern England. With direct experience supporting children, young people and adults with a wide range of neurodevelopmental and mental health conditions, Saliou brings a depth of practical knowledge that is rare in independent community care.
Every child is different — and Saliou's practice is built around that principle. Sessions are structured around the individual: their pace, their preferences, their goals. Whether working with a child with a PDA profile who needs a low-demand environment, a teenager with ADHD who responds to movement-based learning, or a family exhausted by the EHCP process and needing clear guidance, the approach is always consistent, professional and person-centred.
Diallo Healthcare works directly with families, and also accepts referrals from Local Authorities, SENCOs, social workers and healthcare professionals. If you are a professional looking to refer a family or discuss a placement, please contact us directly.
Every family is different. Tell us about your child and we'll talk through exactly how we can help.
